Research - László Kozma

Scientific activity

The main research area of László Kozma is focusing to Finsler geometry, which has been the core subject of the differential geometry school in Debrecen for decades. His main achievements are as follows: description of Finslerian connections through osculation by linear connections; characterization of holonomy groups of Lansdberg manifolds; analyzing the geodesics of Bernard space of non-positive curvature; investigation the warped product Finsler metrics, especially their curvature properties; characterization of Hilbert metrics, and their curvature properties; description of connections of sub-Finslerian manifolds.

During the years he actively worked together with several international research teams (Japan, USA, Romania, China, Czechia, Iran). These resulted in joint projects and publications. He was presenter - and sometimes invited speaker - at international conferences. He was organizer of several international workshops and conferences, took part as editor of math research  journals, and referee of project proposals, and submitted papers at several journals, reviewer of Math Reviews and Zentralblatt.
